AirTran continues to grow in Milwaukee and adds regional airline partner
AirTran Airways continues its aggressive growth in Milwaukee by adding a new destination with its mainline fleet between Milwaukee and Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport. Two new flights between Dallas and Milwaukee will begin on April 6, 2010 and will be operated using AirTran’s newer fleet of Boeing aircraft – the 717 and the 737.
AirTran will also increase flights to Washington Reagan National Airport at the Nation’s Capitol from two a day to three effective April 6, 2010.
Also, AirTran has announced a new partnership with SkyWest in Milwaukee where SkyWest will provide 50-passenger jet flights using the AirTran code between Milwaukee and six new destinations currently in the AirTran network. Flights will be operated three times a day on five aircraft to Akron/Canton, Ohio; Des Moines, Iowa; Indianapolis, Indiana; Omaha, Nebraska; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and St. Louis, Missouri.
AirTran A+ Rewards will apply to the new SkyWest flights as will all of AirTran’s customer service, website and distribution networks. This is the first time AirTran has partnered with a regional airline to offer connections from a focus city.
