British Airways expands in the Caribbean

British Airways has announced that they will begin flying between London Gatwick Airport and two new points in the Caribbean – Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Montego Bay in Jamaica.  Both new markets will begin this winter and will make British Airways the carrier with the most seats available between the UK and the Caribbean.

British Airways is also planning to expand service to some key Caribbean destinations by next summer by adding frequencies.  The destinations to get additional flights are St. Kitts/Nevis, Grenada, Barbados and Bermuda.

By summer 2010 British Airways will operate a total of 55 flights a week to the Caribbean from London – 11 destinations from Gatwick and 3 from Heathrow.
