JetBlue to add Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

JetBlue will launch new service to their next Caribbean destination by adding Punta Cana on the northeast side of Dominican Republic.  Daily flights will operate from New York JFK Airport and weekly flights on Saturday’s will fly between Boston and PUJ.

Frontier Airlines announced new seasonal flights to their second non-stop destination between their low-fare hub of Denver to Alaska.   Frontier will begin flights to Fairbanks, Alaska four times weekly on Airbus A319 aircraft between May and September.

Midwest Airlines continues to reduce in scope - now eliminating all 717

Midwest Airlines announced that on November 9 it will cease operating the carriers main fleet type – the Boeing 717.  The new owners of Midwest, Republic Airlines, will replace all Boeing 717 flights with either regional jets or shared Airbus jets from their new partner, Frontier Airlines.
